How are artistic and curatorial practices being transformed during the climate crisis? What meanings does the term sustainability carry today? What kinds of change can art create or reflect? This talk aims to address these questions through a variety of visual art works, exhibitions, and relevant theoretical approaches. Special emphasis will be placed on agency and the cycle of matter, the relationship and interaction between materials, nature, and living organisms, and the formation of techno-natural assemblages and synergies.
