As we are already experiencing the consequences of environmental catastrophe, we are invited to consider proposed technology-based solutions. Can an anthropogenic climate be restored and what would that mean? This lecture explores critical approaches and positions in contemporary visual and curatorial practices. It also refers to initiatives and alternatives from the field of culture concerning environmental commons, low tech and local knowledge.
